Last time, we finished adding new colors to our bar in the Color section. However, we could only change colors that were already defined because we couldn’t see where the actual colors would be called. Some colors on the bar may be unchangeable because they are hard-coded and not defined in the color section. We can change this behavior when we get to the actual styling of modules.

Customizing Polybar (Part 1)

A few weeks ago, I updated my software and, for some reason, my status bar broke. I couldn’t refresh HerbstluftWM without an empty, unusable frame being created. Additionally, one corner of the bar was no longer visible. I really like open-source software, especially Linux. There are only a few things that make me happier than tinkering with my system or home lab. So, I want to share my experiences, tutorials on things I have done that I think are cool, and, of course, my thoughts. I switched to Linux full time almost 14 years ago, so there’s a lot to talk about. I hope this blog helps and brings joy to some people. And if not, well, I’ll do it anyway.
